Edge Information Management, Inc. Employees Awarded FCRA Basic Certification

Employees at Edge Information Management, Inc. have successfully completed and been awarded the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Basic Certification created by the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) Education Committee.

Edge Information Management, Inc. a prominent provider of employment screening solutions, is proud to announce that a number of their employees have passed and have been awarded the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Basic Certification, which was created by the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) Education Committee

The course and certification were released in November 2011, and already five of Edge’s employees have successfully completed and have been awarded the certification. Norm Gagnon, Director of Compliance; Cathy Fontenot, Operations Manager; Kelly Wenzlick & Kirsten DeLaRue, Criminal Record Specialists and Ryan Fadden, Compliance Administrator were the first Edge employees to be awarded this certification. The FCRA Basic Certification was created to assess the individual’s knowledge of the rules and regulations that make up the FCRA, which is the corner stone for the background screening industry. Upon completing five – one hour webinars and passing the certification exam, individuals will be listed on the NAPBS Membership Directory located on the NAPBS website.

Norm Gagnon commented, “Edge is very enthusiastic not only for the opportunity to test our knowledge and abilities as it relates to FCRA issues and processes but also our employees’ eagerness to participate in this very important certification. Our goal, in the next few months, is to have all key positions certified by completing the basic FCRA course.
