Edge’s fingerprint process starts with our internet-based portal, WebScreen, where you will be able to select the appropriate agency for your company/business, and also schedule the desired time and date the prints will be collected. By partnering with three of the largest electronic fingerprint vendors, Edge can easily accommodate your Florida business by matching your location(s) to a fingerprint collection site that is convenient for you (or the applicant)! Edge has access to over a 100 collection sites in our Florida network, and can also provide on-site mobile fingerprinting, which is cost-effective for large groups!
In general, fingerprints are collected and sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and then forwarded to the FBI (Level 2). Once processed, they are then returned to the state agency that you originally selected. Each state agency returns results to employers in a different manner. However, Edge can assist or advise you on the specifics for your agency. Some may have a special application process in order to gain access; however, Edge can also assist you with this. In addition to helping you with the latter, Edge is always monitoring legislative updates and news to help keep you up-to-date on any major changes.
