In response to the new law in Florida mandating that long term health care providers use electronic fingerprints, Edge Information Management, Inc. has updated their WebScreenSM system to allow for easy online ordering and scheduling.

Melbourne, FL, August 3rd 2010–Edge Information Management, Inc., a prominent provider of employment screening solutions, is pleased to announce the addition of another critical screening tool to its long list of background checking options. Through its proprietary internet application, WebScreenSM, Edge is now offering clients an easy, online way of ordering and scheduling electronic LiveScan fingerprints.

Edge’s service is designed to help healthcare facilities comply with a new Florida law, which became effective August 1st. This new law requires health care providers in Florida to screen all new applicants and facility contractors using an electronic fingerprinting method prior to being employed. Edge has partnered with multiple FDLE approved LiveScan vendors in order to offer an expansive network of LiveScan fingerprint sites throughout Florida. Edge’s network of FDLE LiveScan vendors will be available to the 300 plus health care providers who currently use Edge to meet their employment screening needs.
